About Me

I am Julia, a Person-Centred and Gestalt psychotherapist with a practice rooted in the belief that meaningful change requires a bespoke, relationally attuned approach. Drawing on my expertise in humanistic modalities, I offer a sophisticated and collaborative space for adults to navigate the complexities of their internal and lived experiences. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

The core of my work is the therapeutic alliance. I prioritise the cultivation of a space defined by safety, profound respect and genuine understanding. My practice is fundamentally shaped by the understanding that there is no singular path to healing, instead I ensure that the therapeutic process remains fluid responding to your shifting needs over time.

How I work

My practice is characterised by an integrative and relational framework, blending the philosophical depth of Gestalt therapy with the core conditions of the Person-Centred approach. I work the principle that while you are the ultimate expert on your own life, I serve as a skilled collaborator helping you uncover deeper layers of awareness and potential.

A Relational & Present-Centred Focus

I facilitate a process of active inquiry focusing on the "here and now." By bringing attention to current feelings and interactions, I help you gain clarity on the recurring patterns that may be hindering your personal or relational growth. My aim is not merely symptom management, but fostering a profound understanding of your self-structure and how you move through the world.

I specialise in trauma-informed and body-aware therapy. I integrate an awareness of physiological responses into our work, helping you identify how stress and emotion manifest within the body. This approach bridges the gap between psychological insight and somatic grounding, fostering greater emotional regulation and resilience.

Trauma-Informed Somatic Integration

Recognising that psychological experiences are inextricably linked to the nervous system, I incorporate body-aware interventions into our sessions. This somatic perspective allows us to address:

Emotional Regulation: Developing practical tools to navigate overwhelming states of stress or anxiety.

Somatic Awareness: Identifying the physical markers of emotion to bridge the gap between cognitive insight and felt experience.

Grounding: Establishing a sense of internal safety and stability, particularly when navigating the aftermath of trauma.

Sessions are available in English, Russian and Ukrainian.
